More Than Just Yoga Poses
Often people associate yoga with just physical exercises, but there is so much more to it. In AdiYog, you will experience all aspects of a complete yoga practice, including traditional asanas (postures), simple pranayamas (breathing techniques), guided meditation and knowledge of yoga.
Yoga is not only a method of preparing the system for spiritual awakening, it is also a very important science of health. Since ancient times it has been used by yogis and rishis for the relief and elimination of all kinds of diseases, disorders and defects. It is true that the practices require a bit more time and effort on the part of the patient than the conventional therapies. But in terms of permanent, positive results, as well as the saving of enormous expenditure on medicines, they are certainly well worth it.
What makes this method of treatment so powerful and effective is the fact that it works on the principles of harmony and unification rather than diversity. Physical and mental therapy is one of the most important achievements of yoga. So far, yoga has succeeded in diseases like asthma, diabetes and blood pressure, where modern science has not. Besides this, yoga has proved very effective in cases of epilepsy, hysteria, rheumatism and many other ailments of chronic and constitutional nature. In fact, we have found that most diseases of chronic and constitutional nature can definitely be reversed through Adi yoga.
This is just a glimpse into how the practices of yoga can create a state of physical and mental health. At the moment, many researches are going on in various countries of Europe, in America, India and South-east Asia to ascertain the effects of the practices on all the organs and systems of the body. Soon we hope that yoga will be accepted as one of the major systems of treatment for physical and mental diseases. (Acharya Sthitpragya)

Nutritionist
A nutritionist examines dietary intake and lifestyle to discover imbalances.
Food is the primary source of nutrients to keep us nourished and healthy. Poor and unhealthy diets implicated with the increase of several non-communicable diseases (NCDs) require a food-based approach to reduce the ongoing rise. Traditional knowledge and science behind food-related health benefits became evident in the last three decades. Active ingredients, bioactive molecules and conventionally used herbs were clinically researched and proven to have beneficial outcomes. In the Indian scenario, the multiplicity of food products, including medicinal type formats, such as health supplements, containing plant, herbs or novel ingredients, brings in a new complexity to regulations. Several of these ingredients are pharmacologically active substances and could overlap with drug regulations. The data generated on the nutritional and health benefit of a supplement should be reproducible, outcomes measurable and disease risk reduction shown by well-designed research studies. Regulatory challenges occur at several levels, namely, harmonization of law, fair trade practice, population exposures to chemicals and contaminants, food borne illness, rise in NCD's, novel ingredients, new technologies and a legacy of regulatory practice. While regulatory and legal challenges will always exist, reliance on the role of scientific research in the regulatory context becomes significant.
